To hunt in the national hunting reserves or in the controlled hunting areas of the autonomous community you must have a hunting permit issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In order to obtain a hunting permit, one must participate in the different draws held by the national hunting reserves or controlled hunting areas, provided that the necessary conditions are met. Applications for the drawing of lots must be submitted to the reserve’s technical office or to the General Directorate of Forest Ecosystems, depending on the modality. With the applications received, a draw is made to allocate hunting permits for each reserve/controlled hunting area and species to be hunted. Once the winners (and their reserves, in case they decline their right) are known, they choose the day of the hunt. The hunt is carried out under the supervision of a rural agent, after payment of a fee called entry fee, which will entitle them to execute the corresponding permit.
For the payment of the entrance fee, which will entitle the hunter to execute the permit, the hunter will receive a payment letter to be paid at any Caixabank branch. The permit is sent to the hunter once it has been verified that the entry fee has been paid. On the same day of the hunt, once the permit has been executed, it is necessary that the hunter pays a second fee called complementary fee, which will be issued by the rural agent who accompanies the hunter on the stalking.
